The thing I liked about photosynthesis was learning that plants make the carbon-dioxide into oxygen for us! |

Helping Bob in the garden 16.10.12
On Tuesday Jacob, Fa'amanu and Paige enjoyed helping Bob in the garden at school. They planted broccoli, lettuce and cauliflower. They watered plants and pulled up weeds. They got weeds from under the rocks and put it in the compost pile. Their favourite part was the planting!
Thank you to our media team (Patience and Mairangi) for taking the photos.

VICTORIA By Paige
Once upon a time, a long
time ago there lived a man called Charlie-Ray and his wife Paris. Charlie-Ray
wore a black t-shirt and a black pants. Paris wore a white t-shirt and white
pants. They lived in an old house. The house was black and it was very, very
old. They were very, very poor. They had no food and they wanted a baby.
One day Paris was very
hungry and she asked Charlie-Ray to get some fruit from the witch’s garden.
Charlie-Ray said “No because she might catch me!” Paris said, “Just go!” And so
he did and the witch did catch him! The witch said, “What are you doing here?”
“I need to get some fruit for my wife,” said Charlie-Ray. “You can have some
fruit,” said the witch, “as long as you give me your baby when she is born.”
The next day Paris had a
baby. They named her Victoria. But Charlie-Ray and Paris forgot to pay the
hospital and so the doctors cursed her to have long arms. Charlie-Ray
remembered his promise and gave his daughter to the witch. The witch made Victoria
use her long arms to steal stuff. She would say - “Victoria, Victoria! Use your
long arms to steal that!”
One day a policeman saw
Victoria stealing stuff with the witch and he followed them to the witch’s
castle. When the witch went out to find something for Victoria to steal, the
policeman went to talk to the Victoria. The policeman told Victoria to stop
stealing stuff but Victoria said, “I can’t because my arms are too long.” The
policeman said, “I can take you to a generous witch who will take your curse
away.”
Victoria agreed and the
generous witch took the curse away. Victoria moved into her own house and
became a policewoman with the policeman. They lived happily ever after.
