Once upon a time there
lived three wolves. They were walking. One wolf said, “I’m tired.” “Me too,”
said the second wolf. “Come on! Let’s go and make a house,” said the third
wolf. So the wolves ran off. The first wolf found some mud. The second wolf found
some leaves. The third wolf found some concrete.
They all started to build.
The mud house was built, then the leaf house was built, but the concrete house
wasn’t yet built. The bad fox came out of the forest. He liked to eat little
wolves. He saw the first house made of mud. “Little wolf, let me in so I can
gobble you up,” said the fox. “No, no! Go away and go back to the forest,” said
the first wolf. The fox smiled and blew the house down. He gobbled the wolf up!
Then he saw the leaf
house. “Little wolf, let me in so I can gobble you up,” said the fox. “No, no!
Go away and go back to the forest,” said the second wolf. The fox smiled and
blew the house down. He gobbled the wolf up!
Before the fox went back
into the forest the concrete house was finished. The fox was hungry again and
he saw the concrete house. “Little wolf,
let me in so I can gobble you up,” said the fox. “No, no! Go away and go back
to the forest,” said the third wolf. The fox tried to blow the house down, but
the house was too strong for him. The fox was tired; so he lay down to have a
nap.
The third wolf put hot
water in a pot under the chimney. He was waiting for it to boil. When the fox
woke up he started to have a think. Then he looked up and saw the chimney. He
climbed up onto the roof and jumped into the chimney. Splash! The fox fell in
the boiling water. The little wolf was happy because he now had dinner! And he
lived happily ever after.
