Faith has been working hard to learn her basic facts.  Here is some work she did during maths time to help practice her basic facts to ten.

A Fishy Problem

Four Times Tables

Today Room 4 worked together to make a times table video.  Taiala and Matthew used explain everything to show the times tables.  We then turned it into a song.  Matthew played the ukulele, Siale and Falakiko played beats on the paper bin and the rest of the class sang.  After that we used imovie to put it all together.  Hopefully it will help you learn your times tables.

Explain Everything

Hi we have been learning how to use explain everything on the ipads.  Matthew and Germain have created a video to demonstrate their knowledge of place value.  Let us know what you think. Remember if you think they have made a mistake leave a comment and let them know.

Measuring Up

We have been learning about measurement in Room 4.  We have been learning to measure width and height using mm, cm and metres.  The Taimana maths group had to choose something to measure and the appropriate unit of measurement to measure it with.  They used the ipad to take pictures of their measurement  and then created a video of their findings using movenote.  Are all their measurements correct? Leave them a comment and let them know.

Size Me Up

Last week we used size me up on the ipad to work out our future height.  Then we wrote our own word problems.  Here is Azure's word problem, please use the comments to write down the answer and how you worked it out.
